The artist wALK.

Sometimes I leave a shoot feeling like I just witnessed something bigger than an event—like I got a front-row seat to a community in motion.

Commissioner pulled off something truly special during Art Basel. From the moment 50+ art lovers laced up their On shoes and hit the streets of the Design District, it felt less like a tour and more like a living, breathing conversation—between artists, artworks, spaces, and people.

I was especially moved by the care put into every stop along the way—whether it was April Bey’s bold voice, Elliot and Erick Jiménez’s work woven with memory, or Thom Wheeler Castillo guiding us through a collection that’s as playful as it is profound.

But beyond the art, it’s the togetherness that struck me most. In a world that often feels rushed and disconnected, this gathering reminded me that community isn’t just important—it’s vital. Commissioner gets that. They build moments that invite us in, make us laugh, think, connect.

Grateful to witness and document it all.
