I want to share a truly heartfelt experience with you. I had the privilege of flying to Salt Lake City, a city so special because it marks the birthplace of one of my all-time favorite bands, "Imagine Dragons." But my purpose was more than just music; it was to document the journey of a remarkable family. Not just any family, mind you, but one that welcomed me with such warmth that it felt like we had been friends forever.
My mission was to tell Henri's story, and what an incredible young person he is. Henri was born with Duchenne muscle dystrophy, a condition that affects his muscles and causes them to weaken over time. Spending five days with them, I felt a deep struggle to find the right way to share Henri's journey with the world.
As I prepared to show the slideshow, I couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. I knew that Henri would be there, and I wanted him to understand just how much I admired him. Despite his challenges, Henri's spirit and resilience shine brightly.
You see, Henri carries a small toy from the game "Halo" with him wherever he goes. The funny thing is, he's never even played the video game, yet this toy means the world to him. Witnessing his affection for it, I instantly knew that this toy held the key to the beginning of his incredible story.
